Early Life
Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan in March of 1994 to Terry Sanchez Wallace Sr. and Latoya “Twink” (nĂ©e Perry) Wallace. In the Joy Rd. & Southfield section of Detroit, he was so nurtured by his grandma. Grizzley mother was convicted of narcotics trafficking in 2011 and sentenced to 20 years in jail. A year later, his father was killed. Around this time, he started rapping under the name ASBH Tee and uploaded tracks to YouTube.
The rapper attended Cody Medicine and Community Health Academy in Detroit for his studies. Then he enrolled at Michigan State University, becoming the family’s first college graduate in decades. Tee was arrested, however, for taking $20,000 in equipment and cash from other students’ dorms. He forces to run to Kentucky, where he was apprehended for another robbery. He was sentenced to between 27 and 15 years in prison. Tee would only spend nearly two years in prison before being freed.
