Edward Bridge Danson III, the son of Edward “Ned” Jr. and Jessica MacMaster, was born in December 1947 in San Diego, California. His father worked as an archaeologist at the Museum of Northern Arizona, while his mother’s occupation is unknown. Ted was reared in Flagstaff, Arizona, with his older sister Jan Ann Haury.
