Steve Banerjee Net Worth and Career
Steve opted to open a Mobil gas station early in his career, which he ran for a number of years. He was also engaged in the founding of a backgammon club at the time, which eventually failed. Despite this, he had saved enough money to purchase a near-bankruptcy club in Los Angeles named Destiny II.
He planned to turn it into a nightclub, complete with female mud wrestling and a Female Exotic Dancing Night. Steve, on the other hand, subsequently opted to implement a brand-new concept.
Instead of having female dancers and strippers, Steve proposed having male stripper dance companies that catered to females. This concept was first dismissed since it was difficult to find male dancers who were worried about their reputation and image if they participated.
However, as the program grew in popularity, more women began to participate. He teamed up with Nick De Noia, an award-winning producer, to instruct the male dancers.
Personal Life
In the nightclub industry, Chippendales was becoming a household name. However, as the company’s fame grew, Steve began to see Nick as a competitor and a danger to the empire he was building.
When Steve decided to hire a hitman to murder Nick, he did the unimaginable. Nick was assassinated, and it was subsequently discovered that he had plotted to assassinate some of the choreographers and dancers who he considered a danger.
Later, he was found guilty of a number of offenses, including murder plots. He was condemned to a lengthy prison term as a consequence. After hearing this, many people assumed Steve was unhappy, but few realized the degree of his depression until he committed himself on October 23, 1994.
Irene Banerjee was his wife, although they divorced the same year he committed himself. Steve Banarjee’s tale has several times in the media since then, notably in the 2000 film The Chippendales Murder.
