Early Life
They both grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. They were both members of the fraternity and attended the University of Michigan together. They chose to pursue comedy as a profession while still in university.

They began doing stand-up comedy in various places around 1994. Apt 2F, an MTV comedy, was written by them in 1997. In 2004, they would be a part of the program Cheap Seats, which was one of their greatest successes in their career. The storyline of the program was intriguing, with the actors becoming ESPN research assistants who eventually became presenters of a comedy show.
They’ve worked on a few more projects since then. They’d be pit reporters in the program Battlebots, which has a massive following on ESPN. Their affiliation with Comedy Central has also resulted in them appearing on the program @midnight.
The Sklar brothers have been heavily engaged in the story created for the many series in which they appear. They were twin publicists and co-wrote the online series Back on Layers. Back on Topps, another of their online series, also won two Steamy Awards.
They’ve been utilizing the internet since its inception to broadcast programs that weren’t very popular in the early 2010s. They also developed the original series Held Up around this period, which portrayed the narrative of a bank teller with a mundane job whose life would be turned upside down by a massive heist. They were interested in podcasting as early as those days, and it has grown in popularity tremendously since then.
