Early Life
In March 1970 Michael David Rapaport was birth to David and June Brody in New York City. His father was a radio executive at WKTU Disco 92, and his mother was a local radio host. Rapaport also has a half-sister, Claudia Lonow, and a brother, Eric.
His parents split, and his mother married Mark Lonow, the owner of the New York City comedy club The Improv. Rapaport is a devout follower of the Ashkenazi faith. His ancestors were from Poland and Russia, respectively. While growing up on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the actor had a terrible time in school. He had been expelled from Erasmus Hall High School. He went back to school after that and graduated from Martin Luther King High School.
