John Garvin Weir was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania in July of 1984 to parents John and Patti (née Moore). His father was a nuclear power plant engineer, and his mother worked at a nuclear power facility and was a house inspector. Weir, who is of Norwegian ancestry, has only one sibling, a younger brother named Brian “Boz.”Meanwhile, Johnny and his brother grew up in Quarryville, a rural hamlet inhabited by the Amish. According to Philadelphia Magazine, they then moved to New Britain, Connecticut, and then Newark, Delaware.
