On the 19th of May, 1990, Jermall Charlo was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has a professional boxing twin brother called Jermell. Jermall and his twin brother, Jermell, have both followed in the footsteps of their father, a former boxer. Alief Hastings High School is where he attended.
On August 12, 2008, against Cimmaron Davis, Jermall made his professional debut. His debut bout ended in a technical knockout win in the second round.
