On the 9th of December, 1966 Glenn Youngkin was birth in Richmond, Virginia. Ellis and Carroll Wayne Youngkin welcomed him into the world. Ellis, his father, used to work in accounting and finance before playing basketball at Duke University. When he was a teenager, he relocated with his family to Virginia Beach.

He attended Norfolk Academy and graduated in 1985. When he was in high school, he was a fantastic basketball player. Glenn has also won multiple basketball awards throughout his high school career.

Despite campaigning with Biden and Obama, Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe was defeated by Youngkin. Glenn was leading with 51 percent of the vote, approximately 91,000 votes more than McAuliffe, according to unofficial data from the Virginia Department of Elections on November 1, 2021.
