Early life and Amateur Career
In the U.S.A on November 7, 1994, Gervonta Davis was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore, which is considered one of the city’s most dangerous regions. He went to Digital Harbor High School for his education, however, he eventually quit out to pursue his job. Davis went on to get his GED and earned a second degree.
At the age of five, Gervonta began training at the Upton Boxing Center. Calvin Ford was his boxing instructor, and he had a great amateur career as a result of his dedication and hard work.
