Early life
On August 9, 1967, Deion Sanders was born in the city of Fort Myers, Florida. Since he was a child, he has been a sports fan. Sanders was a letterman at North Fort Myers High School and pursued his sporting ambitions. He was selected All-State in football, baseball, and basketball.
Sanders was set to join with the Kansas City Royals, which would be the start of his professional baseball career. In the 1985 Major League Baseball draft, he was taken by the Royals. He does not want to sign a deal with the Royals, however. He then transferred to Florida State University, where he was a member of the football, baseball, and track & field teams.
