Early Life
Chris Perez was born to Mexican parents on August 14, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas. When he was four years old, his parents, Gilbert Perez and Carmen Medina split. In 1978, his mother remarried.
Chris was always interested in music and began to play the French horn in middle school. He then chose to teach himself to play electric guitar by listening to his favorite performers, including Van Halen, Def Leppard, Kiss, the Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, and Iron Maiden.
